Doing Local Business Online
Don’t make the mistake of thinking that because you’re a local business, you don’t need a website.
In fact, small local businesses make up the majority of the Internet. And if you sell a product locally, it’s your chance to reach the world.
But if it’s a service you offer, you must know that people in your town, your customers, are typing your service type into their favorite search engine and looking for local providers.
Real estate agents, home appraisers, plumbers, doctors, attorneys, health clubs, spas, tanning, restauraunts, furniture stores, network marketers, contractors, I could go on and on. You get the idea.
All of these industries need customers. But before people become customers, they are called leads. They are either hot or cold leads.
How many of you out there can tell me what kind of lead is the easiest to convert? You got it. Hot ones! Okay, how many can tell me what the best way to make a cold lead into a hot lead is? That’s right, referrals… for credibility.
Last one, who can tell me the best way to build credibility with a prospect without a referral? Everyone can increase their income on the Internet. You don’t need to feel like you’ve got nothing to gain just because you don’t sell a product.
