Does a business in a local market need to focus on Search Engine Optimization (SEO)?

First, you need to know exactly what it is that you need your website to do.  How does it help your business?  What’s the best way to service your customers with the "arm" of your business.

Second, you need to have a "process" that you’re able to plug all those new customers into right away.  Be it a store that sells hardgoods, or a service that needs to gather leads, The big conversion is not going to be on the "first time sale", it’s going to be on the backend.  Those people who inquired about information, but never bought. The more of those people you can get on your email list, the better for your bottom line. 

SEO, is simply the pursuit of traffic.  It doesn’t matter what kind of business you have, or what you’re selling, you have to have traffic.  And the more of it that you have, the more money you make. So does a local business need to worry about SEO?  They need it just as much, or more than anyone.
